Two officials from Shenzhen Province of the People’s Republic of China are set to visit Sri Lanka for a meeting on the 14th of July, 2015. The event is facilitated by the Sri Lanka-China Business Council, and accordingly will be taking place from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at Committee Room 1B of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
This Shenzhen Province Delegation is interested in the Tea Industry, and thus we would like to invite the participation of member companies dealing in tea. The prospect of setting up joint ventures with this province is a particularly attractive one for local tea entrepreneurs and businesses, as Shenzhen is considered one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
Shenzhen is a major city located to the south of Southern China’s Guangdong Province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The area was China’s first, and most successful, Special Economic Zone. In fact, Shenzhen has now been dubbed ‘China’s Silicon Valley’ due to the presence of numerous high-tech companies and rapid growth in the manufacturing and technology industries.
